Solve 56x + 10 = 60 - 48x

The question is asking us to "solve" the equation which means we need to find the missing variable. In this case, x is our missing variable so our goal is to get all the x's on the same side of the equal sign. We can see that there is 56x on the LHS and -48x on the RHS. This means we need to add 48x to both sides to make it disappear on the RHS and appear as +48x on the LHS. Now, we have 104x +10=60. If we minus 10 from both sides that will leave us with 104x=50. As 104x means 104 multiplied by x we should divide both sides by 104 to leave us with x=50/104 (which we can simplify to 25/52). The equation is solved.
