What is the relationship between the lengths of a right angle triangle

The lengths of a right angle triangle can be summarised as follows: the sum of the lengths of the two shorter sides squared (the sides which vertice connect forms the right angle) is equal to square of the longest length of the right angle triangle. This relationship is called the Pythagorean Theorem and can be represented by this equation: a^2 + b^2 = c^2.
