Outline and evaluate the biological explanation of aggression (16 marks)

AO1 is worth 6/16 marks and so should be no longer than 1-2 paragraphs. This should include any key theorists and studies as well as addressing ‘outline’ portion of the question. This could include discussion of the MAOA gene and Brunner (1993) study on the effect of the MAOA gene in one Dutch family. AO3 is worth 10 marks and covers the ‘ ‘ ‘evaluate’ section of the question. This should be around 3 paragraphs. This could include the fact that the biological explanation ignores social factors such as those demonstrates in the social learning theory and also flaws in the methodology of studies eg. Brunner only used one family and so may have been brought up in the same way (so nurture as well as nature?)
