Describe how mRNA is produced in the nucleus of a cell.

The process in which mRNA is produced is called transcription.Firstly, DNA Helicase breaks Hydrogen bonds to unzip the DNA molecule and expose the base pairs. Then nucleotides enter through nuclear pores and line up with complimentary base pairs in the template strand. Another enzyme, RNA polymerase joins the nucleotides together to form pre-RNA. The pre-RNA needs to be spliced to remove the introns and create mRNA.
