Describe the process of DNA replication?

The DNA replication is a process in which double stranded DNA molecule is divided into two daughter copies during cell division (mitosis). The replication of DNA takes in stages by semi conservative method in which each new DNA molecule contain one old strand of DNA know as template strand and one new strand which is synthesized by DNA polymerase in 5' to 3' direction.
