Why do you want to study medicine?

The answer to this question will be different for each prospective applicant.

For example, the medical condition of a close family member may have spurrred them to pursue a career in medicine, and from this he/she may have undertaken work experience which enabled him/her to confirm this vocation.

This is a question that is often asked in medical interviews. The above example is simply a generalised answer. I will discuss, with my tutee, how to make this answer more specific to them and therefore better.
