(AQA English Language Paper 1 Question 5 - Creative Writing) Write a story with the title, 'The Holiday'. [40 marks]

I never wanted to be here in the first place. After two trains, three buses and hours of car journey we find ourselves in the middle of nowhere. Yesterday we arrived late evening and the whole family was in a grumpy mood. The sky was heavy, the clouds saturated with water about to explode with rain at any moment. There was an eerie atmosphere; no cars and no people. The buildings themselves sat scattered along the silent roads like wonky teeth, some here some there. Mum said Moldova would be a, 'cultural' experience, I don't know what that word means. All I know it that it is boring, wet and rainy. What's more, I couldn't even leave if I wanted to because my little bother Benji just lost my passport...
