What should be included in a personal statement?

A personal statement should be a brief overview of yourself. Universities will want to learn if you match their ethos as a student and if you hold similar values. You should include what you’re currently studying and the skills you've developed so far. Then, how might those skills support you in further education in relation to the course you’ve applied to?
Universities are genuinely interested in you. You should mention your interests, hobbies, as well as any work experience, part-time jobs or any other awards that may have had provided you with skills that may benefit not just your course but also the university as a whole. Finally, talk about your future aspirations and how the course is important for you to achieve your goals. If you unsure on your future, that’s fine! Explain that. Nobody expects you to have it all figured out.
Obviously throughout use sound grammar and punctuation, avoiding to come across cocky and boastful but be humble and honest.
One way you may lay this out: Introduction, Current studies, Interests hobbies, work experiences, future aspirations.
