Express 4sinx-cos(pi/2 - x) as a single trignometric function

The cos(pi/2-x) is equivalent to sinx because the cosx graph is just the sinx graph but shifted to the left by a phase difference of pi/2 radians, and cos(pi/2 - x) is also shifting the cosx graph to the right by pi/2 radians which just transforms it into a sinx graph. We can rewrite this as 4sinx-sinx and this therefore just becomes 3sinx.

How do you find the gradient of a curve?

A curve has equation y = e^(3x-x^3) . Find the exact values of the coordinates of the stationary points of the curve and determine the nature of these stationary points.

The lines y = 3x² - x + 5/2 intersects the line y = x/2 +7 at two points. Give their coordinates. Show your working

Differentiate: y=12x(2x+1)+1/x
