Explain the different functions of the components of a plant cell.

Functions of plant cell organelles
Cell membrane: Controls the movements of substances in and out of the cell
Cytoplasm: thick substance where chemical reactions occur.
Nucleus: contains the genetic information and controls the reactions in the cell.
Mitochondria: where the majority of respiration reactions occur.
Vacuole: provide structural support and holds waste material.
Cell Wall: composed of cellulose and supports the structure of the cell.
Chloroplast: contains green pigment (chlorophyll) and is the site of photosynthesis.
