Why is water cohesive?

Cohesion is the attraction of molecules of the same type.Water is cohesive because it is dipolar therefore the positive electrons from the 2 hydrogens are pulled towards the oxygen end making the oxygen end slightly negative and the lack of electrons on the hydrogen end makes that side slightly positive. Therefore, the positive end of one water molecule will attract the negative end of another water molecule and vise versa.
