Explain why an outsider perspective might give a different sense of place to an insider perspective. (4 marks)

An outsider perspective is one from a person who has not visited an area or is a minority in the community such as a member of the LBGTQ+ community. Their perception of a place may be impacted from a media perspective either positive or negative or from an insider. However, an insider perspective usually has a topophillia approach to a place whereas outsiders usually have topophobic approaches due to other influences. (4/4)
