Firstly, ensure that you spend time reading though both texts before you start to write your answer.Think about the ideas/points you could discuss while reading through the texts. Consider the ideas in the text, the language and the structure - maybe briefly write your thoughts down before you start your answer if you find this helpful and be sure to cross it out after you have written your answer. Comparing is about what is similar and what is different between the two texts.Remember to link each point you think of to a quotation or example and explain your point. A good answer will develop the point you have made and be able to link this to other points. Use plenty of embedded quotations. It's important to move equally between the two texts and write about them together.
