How can I prepare effectively for UK medical school interviews?

UK Medical schools have various methods of interviewing candidates. The interview may be in the form of an MMI, panel or group. I feel it 's vital to help students tailor their applications clearly to their choices. Candidates are offered places subject to the meeting of specific criteria. From personal experience I'm aware of the qualities interviewers find attractive. Medical school interviews require both academic and emotional intelligence. A balance of these factors will leave a lasting impression on the admissions team. Having a competent understanding of medical ethics, current affairs and data interpretation is essential. This knowledge is complemented by skills such as; effective communication, empathy and compassion. Interviewers often ask candidates to reflect on their work experiences and are eager for them to explain how their new and existing skills will help them to be successful medical students. I feel it's key to practice interview techniques consistently and review areas honestly where improvement is needed.
