How do you solve a quadratic equarion

with quadratic equations you will either get two x values for your answer, one value or zero values. This can be tested by rhe value of your discriminant when values have been subbed in. If it’s greater than zero there are two values, equal to 0 then one value and less than zero zero values. There are two main methods that can be used. Sub your numbers into the quadratic formula. This guarantees an answer every time provided your discriminant is greater than zero. The other way is quicker. If you are able to factorise your answer into two brackets which multiply together to equal zero then x can be solved for by simple algebra.
