The oral exam consists of two parts : the first is a project that you have to prepare in advance, and the second is a separate conversation with your examiner about a topic that is relevant today. For the project, choose a topic which is both interesting to you on a personal level and that has enough to talk about. It is worth memorising the initial 2 minute presentation that you can recite uninterrupted. After this presentation, your examiner will you some questions that you will have given them beforehand. Make sure to write down answers to these questions before the exam, but also find out as much as you can on the topic since your examiner can ask you questions that you have not prepared for. For the second part, you need a broad knowledge and understanding of each of the topics that can come up on the exam day. You can either find this information in textbooks which are tailored to the syllabus, as well as online, through reading news articles. For each topic, learn about what issues there are surrounding it, and be ready to give your opinion on such issues. Find out and memorise some up to date facts and events relevant to the topics, as referring to these in your exam will allow you to demonstrate your knowledge of French culture. Finally, there is usually a question asked relating to how the topic is viewed differently in the French-speaking world. Often, it is easiest to talk about the Maghreb region, in which the culture often differs to that in France.Practise speaking French as much as possible and listen to it as well - Youtube, radio and television.
