Why did you want to study medicine?

My passion for medicine originated after studying medicine through time in GCSE history, I started to understand how far medicine had developed in such a short time and I began to appreciate healthcare as it is today, this made me even more interested in studying medicine as it’s a career in which techniques are always developing and a career which provides constant learning
My time volunteering at the hospital has further motivated me to pursue a career in medicine, by helping patients whom are at their most vulnerable I can feel a sense of satisfaction that isn’t provided by any other career; upon talking to the doctors, whom make regular visits to the ward, I began to understand that medicine was a very intellectually stimulating career
