For all values of x, f(x) = (x + 1)^2 and g(x) = 2(x-1). Show that gf(x) = 2x(x + 2).

f(x)=(x+1)^2g(x)=2(x-1)
gf(x)=2([(x+1^2)]-1) =2([(x+1)(x+1)]-1) =2([x^2+2x+1]-1) =2(x^2+2x) =2x(x+2)

How do you solve the following simultaneous equations? Equation 1: 2x + 3y = 13 Equation 2: 3x - y = 3

The functions f and g are defined on R , the set of real numbers by f(x) = x^2 - 5x +2, and g(x) = 1 - x. Find h(x) = f(g(x)), and j(x) = g(f(x)).

Solve the equation: x^2 - 9x + 20 = 0

factorise 2x^2 +10x
