How can I prepare for a medical school interview?

(1) Take care of the basics Make sure you have the date, time & location correct; you’ve organised transport, and know what you’re going to wear (organise in advance, esp. if borrowing) and that you feel comfortable in it.
(2) Know yourselfWhile keeping on top of current affairs & healthcare news is often advised, it’s often more crucial to really think about yourself. What qualities & skills do you have, and are confident of—what have you done that sets you apart—what have you seen or read that inspires you? Currently in the UK, “reflection” is a massively important part of the curriculum, taught in most schools from first year. If you can demonstrate that you have already learnt how to “reflect”, and reflect regularly, it’ll be to your advantage. The more you’ve reflected on what you can confidently say & prove through accomplishments, the more likely you are to remember and be able to build in your own personality to answers that could become pretty uniform with nerves on the day. Any know the place: if you can show you are genuinely interested in this one school, and know which features it prides itself on, you can distinguish yourself and show enthusiasm.
