How should I structure my experiences on my personal statement?

You should always be as clear and concise as you can be. You only have a limited amount of characters in your personal statement so you don't want to waste them with unnecessary words and phrases. In essence, each thing you write should serve a purpose. A logical structure to follow would be the STAR (situation, task, action, result). Situation - briefly set the scene with something you have done. Task - what was the challenge to be completed? Action - what did you do? Result - what happened as a result of your action? Did you learn from it? What skill does this represent? Use experiences that are relevant to what you are applying for as it will make you stand out from the rest of the crowd.
