How can you increase the turning force on a spanner?

Use a longer spanner. The turning force can also be called the "moment".Remember that moment = force x distance (from pivot)Therefore increasing the distance between the pivot and the force on the spanner will give a greater moment, this is why using a longer spanner increases the turning force.
