Explain two benefits to a business of ensuring the protection of their employees’ health and safety.

One benefit to a business is that they will comply with their legal responsibility for health and safety. If businesses do not comply with the health and safety acts placed by the government they are susceptible to punishment. These punishments can include fines or even the closure of the business and therefore ensuring employees protection is beneficial as it prevents this outcome.
Another benefit a business may gain is repeat customers. If a business is known for customers or employees being harmed it will receive very negative publicity leading to a rapid fall in customers and therefore profits. If a business ensures the protection of both customers and employees then all will feel safe and customers are highly likely to return to the business. When customers return to a business it is provided with a steady and stable profit margin.
