How to find LCM and HCF of two numbers

Take numbers 24 and 36 for example.First we'd need to find the prime factors of each of the two numbers which can be done through factor trees24 = 23x 336 = 22 x 32What we do next is set of a venn diagram of the prime factors for these numbers. If the number is in both lists, we write it down in the intersection and then cross it off our list of prime factors. We do this for all factors until all of them are crossed off.LCM Is each of the numbers in the diagram multiplied togetherHCF is each of the numbers in the intersection multiplied together
