Describe the similarities and differences between ionic and (simple) covalent bonding?

Similarities Doesn't conduct electricity (only when the ionic is in solid) and covalent always (no charged particles) Many dissolve in water Differences Ionic substances loose or gain and electron to become charged and then attract where as covalent share electrons for the bondIonic have very high melting point and covalent low melting point
