15 x 0.08 = £1.20 which means Nadia has £5 - £1.20 = £3.80 remaining£3.80/0.3 = 12.6 recurring so 12 whole rulers can be bought 12 x 0.3 = £3.60 spent on rulers£3.80 - £3.60 = £0.20 change remaining £0.20/0.08 = 2 more pencils can be boughtSo in total, 17 pencils and 12 rulers can be bought
