A cell is a unit of a living organism that helps to carry out processes to survive. Both cell types have a cell membrane which controls the movement of substances in and out a cell. They also both contain a nucleus which holds the DNA as well as determining the cell's activities. The mitochondria is where the cell's energy is released which can be found in both animal and plant cells. Finally, a cytoplasm can be seen in both cell types. This is where most chemical processes happen. However, a plant cell also has another 3 components the animal cell does not have. A chloroplast will absorb light energy for the plant to make food. It also has a cell wall made of cellulose to make the cell stronger. A vacuole can also be seen which contains liquid to help keep the cell rigid.
