However, they were forced to remove missiles from Turkey and accept communism had spread to Cuba.The USSR saw the expansion of communism to the West and received a military victory of the removal of US missiles from Turkey. However, to the wider world, Khrushchev was seen as backing down by removing the missiles from Cuba and he failed to close the missile gap.Cuba won from the situation because they received economic and military support from the USSR however, they felt betrayed by the USSR with no say over the outcome of the crisis. Finally, summarise up your key points in a short conclusion making sure you use the wording of the question to explain how one country benefited more than another.
