How do I form a question?

There are two formulas for creating a question in french. The first is adding "est-ce que" to the begining of the statement. Therefore the equation is, "est-ce que" + the subject + the verb + question. For example, "est-ce que tu vas au cinéma?", meaning "are you going to the cinema?"The second way of asking a question is by switching the order of the verb and the subject. The equation is: the subject + the verb + question. To keep with the same example of "are you going to the cinema?", using this method it would be "vas-tu au cinéma?"
