Describe how a reflex action is coordinated.

1.There are 3 different types of neurons, a receptor and effector that are involved in initiating a reflex response. (Draw these out and label each neurone A B C)2.The receptor detects a stimulus (this is a change in the environment, e.g. heat) and then generates impulses/electrical signals.3.The role of neurons is to conduct impulses/electrical signals.4.Neurone A = sensory neurone and conducts impulses to the spinal cord5.Between neurons are synapses (a junction/gap) and chemical signals cross these in order to stimulate the next neurone6.Neurone B = relay neurone 6.Neurone C = motor neurone7.The effector carries out a response (e.g. muscles of the am/leg contract)
