solve x^2 + 5x +6 = 0

You can do this a couple of ways. The first is by using the quadratic equation shown below. Each letter corresponds to the the coefficient of different powers of x. A is the number in front of x^2 and b is in front of x and so on. These numbers are then plugged in and the two solutions can be found.Therefore x = 2 or x =3
