Can you name the similarities and differences between a animal and a plant cell?

There are many similarities between these two cells but some important differences which are specific to plant cells. Some of the shared organelles include:Cell Membrane - made of a lipid bilayer which protects the inside of cells and allows nutrients to enter/waste to leaveNucleus - the brain of cell which contains DNA - genetic information that controls the functions of the cellCytoplasm - jelly substance inside the cell which surrounds the organelles which allows things to move around and chemical reactions to occurMitochondria - powerhouse of the cell which makes energy in the form of ATP by aerobic respirationSome of the key differences include:Cell wall - structure which surrounds the cell to give extra supportVacuole - closed sac inside the cell which contains sap - has many functions like to store wasteChloroplasts - contain chlorophyll and are the site of photosynthesis
