What is the difference between 'ser' and 'estar'?

The difference between 'ser' and 'estar' is mainly whether you are describing something permanent. If I were to say that 'I have blue eyes', then I would use 'ser', as this is something that cannot change. 'Yo tengo los ojos azules'.On the other hand, if I were to say 'I am happy', I would use 'estar', as this is something that can change.'Yo estoy feliz'.La diferencia entre 'ser' y 'estar' es es principalmente si describe algo permanente.
