Evaluate the pros and cons of breastfeeding.

(This is an 'evaluate' questions, which means just listing the pros and cons may not be enough, you should attempt to give a short explanation as to why breastfeeding is beneficial and why it may have downsides, mentioning and comparing with formula milk may also help show your understanding.) Whilst breastfeeding allows the mother to pass antibodies to the child to boost his/her immunity, it may lack the minerals and supplements that formula milk provides. However, unlike formula milk which is likely to cause digestive problems and other illnesses, breastfeeding also ensures that the milk is delivered at body temperature and evokes no risk of an allergic reaction, as well as zero preparation and cost, which makes it potentially safer and financially a better option. Nevertheless, breastfeeding does require the mother to be readily present for the child and may cause breast pain for the mother.
