Give the full ionic equation and net ionic reaction for Ba(NO3)2 (aq) + Na2SO4 (aq) → BaSO4 (s) + 2NaNO3 (aq)

The full ionic equation describes the components as individual ions, as this is how they exist in aqueous solution. Ba2+ + 2 NO3- + 2 Na+ + SO42- → BaSO4 (s) + 2 Na+ + 2 NO3-
To obtain the net ionic equation, remove all ions present on both sides of the equations (i.e: 2 Na+  and 2 NO3- )This gives the net ionic equation: Ba2+ + SO42- → BaSO4 (s) (BaSO4 is insoluble in water because of the interactions between +2 and -2 charges on the ions)
