How could a coach eliminate aggression in a sporting activity?

A coach could choose to either use cognitive techniques or somaic techniques. Firstly cognitive are pyschological, so are to do with thought process. For example, encouraging positive self talk. So the athlete would endorse their own ability or progess by telling themself to stay calm and in control. They could also be told to count up to ten, or distance themself. A coach may also choose to use somatic techniques. These involve physiological strategies. Such as progressive muscular relaxation. The athlete would increase the tension of the muscles throughout the body and gradually relax each group in turn. This helps relaxtion.
