Percentage change is often required to utilise figures provided in case studies and present them as evidence, or to use in other calculations.
For example:
If you were asked to calcuate the percentage change in output, from 460,000 units to 520,000 units.
The calculation is: change between values x100
original value
Change between values= 520,000- 460,000= 60,000
You then insert this figure into the calculation.
60,000
460,000
You can remember this as different value, goes above original; because d is before o in the alphabet.
And then always multiply by 100 as this figure is a percentage.
So the answer is 13%
