Quesiton:

Solve 10x - 7 = 5x + 3, to find the value of x

Answer:

x = 0.5 

Solution:

First you must rearrange the equation so that all the like terms are on the same side:

10x - 5x = 3 +7

5x = 10

Then to find x, divide 5 by 10

x = 0.5
