Solve x^2 - 7x + 10 = 0

First factorise: (x - 2)(x - 5) = 0

Then either: x - 2 = 0   so x = 2

            or   x - 5 = 0   so x = 5

Solve 7x + 5 < 3 + 2x

You are given two equations: 3y-2x=11 and y+x=12. By solving simultaneously, what is the value of x and the value of y.

Show that (x + 4)(x + 5)(x + 6) can be written in the form ax3 + bx2 + cx + d where a, b, c and d are positive integers.

x^2 - 10x + 33 ≡ (x - a)^2 + b. Work out the value of a and b.
