What should I include in my personal statement?

The key to any personal statement is the "personal" bit - the admissions team reading your statement want to know about you, but also you need to make them remember you as they will be reading thousands of statements! These are the key things to include:1. Everything you have achieved; grades and persoal achievements outside of school. 2. Why your're passionate about your subject and where that passion began. 3. What you have done to demonstrate your love for the subject. 4. Personal qualities; such as leadership, team work, independent adn critical thinking. 5. Evidence of your knowledge of the subject and your wider interests around the area. 6. Current affairs knowledge to do with your subject; this shows that you are up-to-date in the area and have a true passion for it.Once you have listed these things, the writing of the statement will be easy, the hard bit will be fitting it all into 4,000 characters!
