A personal statement is your chance to show off not only your academic capability and interest in the subject you are applying for, it's also a chance to show the universities that you would be a valued member of their community! You only have 4000 characters to sell yourself. This means you should only include things that are really strengthen and are and relevant to your application. The admissions tutor doesn't just want to read a list of things you've done! You could streamline what you will include by making a list of all your academic achievements, and then another one for your intersests/hobbies and any achievements you have from these. Then pick out 3 or 4 things from each list that you think are most relelvant to the subject you are applying to study or that best showcase your character. Also have a look at the prospectus of the university/universities you're applying to and see what they are looking for in an applicant. Then you can gear your personal statement to demonstrate these qualities. When it actually comes to writing your statement clarity is key! The admissions tutor will have a lot of these statements to read so try to be as clear as possible so your statement is easy to read.
