The main thing to remember with direct and indirect object pronouns is that they appear right before the verb. For example, in a sentence with one main verb, the pronoun comes immediately before it: Je le mange, il me donne une idéeIf the verb is accompanied by an auxiliary - être or avoir- then the pronouns appears before the auxiliary: Tu m'as vu, je lui ai ditNote: if a sentence with an auxiliary has a preceding direct object, the past participle has to agree with it. For example: (where the direct object is masculine plural) Je les ai vus, (where the direct object pronoun is feminine singular- la) nous l'avons regardéeIn a sentence with an infinitive, for example with a modal verb, the pronoun comes before the infinitive: Je peux lui téléphoner, il veut les traduire Just remember the phrase right before the verb! I hope this helps :)
