Stepping inside the solicitor’s office was an unforgettable experience, however working there sparked my true affection for law. I spent my days there beside qualified lawyers, researching for jurisprudence to fight back cases and experienced civil law along with the more commercial side. The leisure to work beside people who have dedicated their lives to the law, has confirmed my decision to pursue a career in this field. I believe that throughout my life I have developed qualities which make me useful for this undergraduate degree. No matter what conversation I get into, I love to debate over what I believe is right and prove my point. It is not a coincidence that I am an active member in the school’s debating society. The subjects that I have chosen for my A levels have also helped in this aspect. History has allowed me to be more critical in life and it has taught me to acknowledge both sides of an argument forming a well structured conclusion. I am fond of independent research and have the capacity to select and evaluate evidence. In school I mastered writing persuasive and extensive essays and I have the ability to manage and deal with different sources, since I previously enjoyed this during my A levels course where we studied about the History of India and Russia in depth. Studying Geography and Economics in Form 6 has also made me capable of focusing on actual events in the world and has made me develop a more open mindset. In terms of work experience I have been employed in different fields of society and have interacted with people of different cultures.
