How do I form an adverb from an adjective in Italian?

In Italian, adverbs are used to determine the meaning of a verb, and adjective or another adverb. Among other words that carry out the function of adverbs, they can also be formed by adding the suffix -mente to an adjective.

If the adjective is masculine and terminates in -o, use the feminine form and add -mente.

For example:  Silezioso/ Silenziosamente

                        Chiassoso/ Chiassosamente

If the adjective terminates in -e, simply add -mente.

For example:  Recente/ Recentemente

                       Veloce/ Velocemente

If the adjective terminates in -re/-le or -ro/-lo, drop the vowel and add -mente.

For example:  Nobile/ Nobilmente

                        Leggero/ Leggermente.
