How do you form the future (near future) tense?

To form the near future you take the infinitve and add '-ai, -as, -a, -ons, -ez, -ont' at the end. For example:

Regarder: to watch (regular -er verb)

je regarderai

tu regarderas

il/elle regardera

nous regarderons

vous regarderez

ils/elles regarderont

This is the case for regular -er and -ir verbs.

With -re verbs you take off the -e and then add the endings as explained previously.
