How do I do the dot product with vectors?

You multiply the terms of each vector that have the same unit vector (e.g. i, j, k). For example, you multiply the i terms in the first vector by the i terms in the second vector. When you've multiplied them the answer will be a scalar (it doesn't have any vector terms like i, j, k).
