How to start writing a Personal Statement

Start with brainstorming. Break it down and jot down notes about 1) why you want to do this course and 2) what are the skills you have that make this course suitable for you? For example, are you patient, hardworking, or a leader? What experiences have you had? Is this work experience, a part time job, or reading around your subject? Do not be afraid to praise yourself because personal statements are about portraying yourself in the best way possible and to demonstrate how you are unique! If you have trouble thinking about the good qualities you own, ask your family and friends to help you get started.
