How many lines of method should I write in order to get all of the marks?

The examiner is not an alien from space! It is important that you are clear how you got from one line of working to the next however you do not need to do every little part as a separate line of working. If you are unsure, write a small note to explain what you have done. Small notes alongside your method can make your working very easy to understand.
