Discuss the pull and push factors of migration.

Migration pull factors are the qualities of a destination country that are attractive to immigrants, encouraging migration from the origin to the destination country. These pull factors include employment opportunities, greater abundance of entertainment, greater security and peace, less risk of conflict, better quality housing, higher standard of education and government benefits such as health services. Migration push factors are aspects of an origin country that are negative, and encourage immigrants to emigrate to a destinaction country. These push factors include conflict and war, disease epidemics and threats to health, natural disasters, poor education, poor housing and living conditions, few entertainment and recreational activities, poor employment opportunities and lack of government benefits/government corruption.
