Hitler introduced a number of domestic policies in 1933 when he came into power. These include political policies such as banning all other parties and dismantling the Reichstag so as to strengthen his position and promote the idea of Fuhrerprincip. Hitler also included policies that addressed the social situation in Germany, he wanted to create a Volksgemainschaft which includes women, the youth, the church and also deals with racial purity. When Hitler came into power in 1933, he was left with the tough job of fixing the economic situation in Germany and to do this, he introduced the ideas of autarky, meaning self-sufficiency, whilst at the same time preparing for war. Despite being largely successful in each of its respective aims, some of the policies either failed or its success may not even be due to the policy.
