How can one know the different gender that each greek word falls into?

According to the ending (suffix) of most greek words one can easily tell the gender to which they belong to. Words that end in -η are usually feminine while words that end in -oς are masculine. Lastly, words that end in -o are neutral. The adjectives and articles that follow these words also follow the same rules, with some exceptions always present.
